COVID-19 Message
Hello to all our valued Patients,
GOOD NEWS! The State of California, the County of Santa Clara, and the CDC has given dental facilities the go ahead to resume operations. Our dental office will be opening starting on Monday, June 1, 2020.
In order to help assure your health and well-being, our whole staff is preparing the office to be a safe place for treatment with many added safety precautions following the recommended guidelines by the ADA, CDC, and CDPH to support national efforts in combating the COVID- 19 pandemic:
-
Before your appointment, you will be contacted by a member of our front office staff to answer a Covid-19 pre-screen questionnaire for review.
-
Upon arrival for scheduled appointment, the patient will call or text to the office and wait in the car until an office staff member will inform and allow them to come into the office.
-
All family members will be asked to remain outside during the dental appointment unless it is a minor child or elderly adult that requires supervision.
-
Patients are currently required to wear a mask and requested to bring their own pen.
-
Immediately upon entering the office, patients will have a temperature check and then be escorted directly to the treatment room. If a minor child or elderly adult needs supervision, the adult supervising them will be required to wear a facial mask.
-
Patients will rinse with a hydrogen peroxide solution before any treatment is started.
There are additional steps we will be doing to help ensure the health and safety for you and our office staff:
-
We will be closely monitoring the social distancing requirements, limiting the staff and patients allowed in the office at one time, and take necessary precautions to avoid contact with other parents while you are in our office.
-
The front office room will have plexi-glass shields installed on the counters and there will no longer be any waiting room chairs or magazines for use.
-
Our back office staff will be wearing their enhanced PPE gear.
-
Surgical grade air purifiers will be in each treatment room
-
Dental providers will reduce the amount of aerosol by modifying the use of the high-speed handpiece/ airwater syringe and high volume suction.
-
Once we have completed treatment in the operatory, high level disinfection will be done before another patient is allowed to be seen in that room.
-
Surfaces such as door handles, chairs, desks, and bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected between each patient.
The safety and well-being of our patients and staff continues to be our primary concern. We want to assure you that we have always practiced universal safety precautions in our office. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding any changes to our dental office.
We will be contacting patients for their upcoming appointments to confirm or reschedule. In the meantime, if you have a dental emergency, we are available for any emergency treatment.
You can contact us anytime if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached by phone at 408-842-5805 or by email info@lowelltandds and will respond as quickly as possible.
